Three Beautiful Things

Evidence that the seasons are changing.  Even though the melting snow brings flooding, the water everywhere, standing and running, is so pretty!

Watching  old lady Gina rush out the door to enjoy the warm sunshine with everyone else, as they crowd onto the patch of grass that has been revealed by the plowed and melting snow.

Listening to my chatty little man as he babbles his nonsensical commentary.  I especially love it when he “says”, “I love you” every night before bed.  We have a ritual that involves repeating, “I love you” as we head up the steps to his room and then after we shut the door and head back downstairs.  He calls out, “I love you” to us, and we respond.  He can’t really say the words, but he has the lilt and cadence and it’s heart warming to hear.

  1. I bet you smile a lot!!!

  2. You certainly have lots to smile about. Those “I love you”s are about the sweetest sound you’ll ever hear, this or any other time of year. Cherish each and every one. 🙂
