Three Beautiful Things

  1. Tora, our eldest dog, snoring next to me while I type.

  2. This is the field adjacent to our road.  I’m standing on the road.  The water is at the road’s edge. mere inches from covering it.  Looks like a lake, doesn’t it?  This leads to my number two:

Zuva, now our middle dog, staying outdoors all day (even though it was -20C today with the wind chill), because the flooding has apparently dislodged many mice and voles.  She’s been pouncing, pouncing, pouncing, all day!  It’s very cute to watch (if I don’t think about the animals she’s catching.)

  3. Helios, our ginger cat, is as bad as Zuva.  Except Helios catches a mouse and immediately runs to the door to present it to me!  We have been getting many presents in the past couple of days.

  1. You have GOT to be kidding! I am / was positive this was a lake. I can see the opposite shore, the wind blown waves! Wow.

Oh I can wait longer for all those dead or dying gifts. None yet here, thank goodness. This year, I swear I am going to keep an inventory!!
