Three Beautiful Things

IMG 1547

  1. Helios, our very sweet and loving ginger cat, finally returning home after spending four nights at the vet’s office. Whew!
  2. The greening of our yard, which is allowing us to discover random strawberry and raspberry plants, new trees, and many bulbs, around the yard.
  3. The warm days last week that allowed us to enjoy so much time outside with MIL. She loved the fire pit, but her favorite activity was tearing down an old house that had been bulldozed over. She single-handedly removed at least half of the debris — which included removing nails from pushed-over, but still intact walls, moving piles and piles of boards, the tin roof, BEAMS, gates, pipes, men’s clothing, tires, bottles and cans, sawdust (inside the walls), old water troughs, etc. You name it, she moved it! And then she would come in and do the dishes and the laundry and go back out to burn the dry tinder!!!

  1. She looks so tired. Poor thing. 😦

He was! He’s usually very active. He was so happy to be home. He snuggled into Tora, our big black dog, and his sister climbed up next to him and cleaned him real good. He just purred and purred, laying in the middle of all of us. He seems to be doing better each day.

  2. too bad the camera can’t capture “purring”
